Synopsis by Hal Erickson

A Canadian political discussion program, Decision emanated from the studios of Montréal's CBMT. The program was essentially the voice of the Parti Quebecois, which took charge of the Québec government in 1976. After four years as a local Montréal offering, the series was picked up by the entire CBC network on January 17, 1980, virtually on the eve of a key sovereignty referendum. Montreal Gazette correspondent L. Ian MacDonald hosted, while the guests were drawn almost exclusively from the ranks of the French-Canadian political scene. The final coast-to-coast episode of Decision was seen on May 19, 1980.
