Synopsis by Leslie Birdwell
From season two of Debbie Travis' Painted House, episode number 210 begins with a dank, unpleasant basement room and transforms it to student bohemianism. Debbie demonstrates the skill of tie-dye, making colorful throws for chairs, couches, and use as curtains. Silver metallic spray paint makes way-cool, semi-industrial shelving out of plain wooden boards. The walls are painted yellow first, then layered with paint and newspaper text. The newspaper itself is the printing medium, the ink transferred to the flat surface to create a graffiti effect or that of a wall that's been pasted over many times with many handbills.
