Filmmaker Chantal Akerman alternates between the dusty Mexican border town of Agua Prieta, Sonora and neighboring Douglas, Arizona to offer a compassionate account of the immigration issue, and profile migrant workers who endure grueling labor conditions in an effort to provide for their struggling families back home.
