Synopsis by Rebecca Flint Marx

A drama about identity and living with HIV, Days has as its protagonist Claudio (Thomas Trabacchi), an HIV-positive Italian banker. A creature of habit who clings to his everyday rituals, Claudio always takes his daily medications, plays dutiful brother to his sister (Monica Rametta), and makes plans to move to Milan with Dario (Davide Bechini), his boyfriend. However, both his life and beloved routines are thrown up into the air when he is reacquainted with Andrea (Riccardo Salerno), a hot waiter with whom he once enjoyed a one-night stand. The brief affair had been one of such passion that upon reconnecting, the two men quickly begin where they left off, with Andrea declaring he has little care about Claudio's HIV status. Claudio finds himself set free by the affair, and subsequently takes leave of his job, his medications, and Dario, choosing instead to live a fearless life of unrestricted passion with Andrea. Days was screened at the 2002 Philadelphia International Gay and Lesbian Film Festival.
