Bramwell's mother, Josette (Mary Cooper), reveals that she is the mother of Melanie (Nancy Barrett), and that the girl's "adoptive" parent, Justin Collins, was her real father. Julia (Grayson Hall) tries to prevent Melanie from imparting this information to Justin's widow, Flora.
