Synopsis by Mark Deming
A teenager looking for love in all the wrong places begins travelling down a slippery slope of self-exploitation in this French Canadian drama. Danny (Thierry Pepin) is a handsome and hunky young man looking for meaning in his life. Danny's mother, a successful fashion model, died of a drug overdose when he was young, and his father (Eric Cabana), an emotionally distant homosexual, has never given him much in the way of affection, and at 19 years old, Danny's sense of self-worth is based almost entirely in his appearance, and how it's appreciated by others. While his father wants him to attend college, Danny is more interested in a career as a model; when Danny's father sees his photo in a magazine ad, the young man is kicked out of the house, and Danny's desire for love through narcissism leads him from fashion modeling to dancing in a gay strip club to appearing in porn movies, until his increasing recklessness begins to catch up with him.
