Synopsis by Sarah Ing

The death of John F. Kennedy Jr. in 1963 gave the nation a reason to grieve. Now, decades after his passing, the darker side of this charismatic leader is just beginning to surface. Peter Jennings hosts this unusual look back at the life of the 35th President of the United States. Dangerous World: The Kennedy Years shies away from nothing while exploring allegations about JFK. The program begins with mob associations and delves into assassination attempts on Fidel Castro and multiple extramarital affairs. Interviews with former government workers, personal letters, and official documents make up the meat of the story. Though many still hold with Kennedy's solid reputation, this ABC exposé dares to suggest otherwise.
