Joss Ackland portrays the beloved writer C.S. Lewis in reenactments staged for this documentary that traces the tragic love affair Lewis had with Joy, a woman who had converted from Judaism to Christianity in large part because of the devout Catholicism in Lewis' novels. When her life ends suddenly and tragically, Lewis must wrestle with a severe crisis of faith.
