Synopsis by Robert Firsching

Hong Kong filmmaker Hong Wai-tat directed this standard Category III exploitation film starring Simon Yam in yet another of his numerous appearances as a psychotic sexually-fixated stalker. Yam plays Fred Suen, a crazed computer programmer who is obsessed with a glamorous television reporter named Kitty Wong (Yvonne Yung). Fred just spies on Kitty at first, and even beats up some hoodlums who taunted her during an interview. Stalker behavior almost always escalates, however, and before long Fred is making obscene phone calls, breaking into Kitty's place, and committing acts of vandalism. Kitty's boyfriend Charlie (Michael Wong) is very concerned about her well-being, and promptly hires a computer programmer to design an alarm system to keep her safe. In one of those coincidences which rarely occur outside low-budget thrillers, the programmer is Fred Suen, who promptly sets up a high-tech system which he, naturally, can get around when necessary. Becoming more disturbed by the day, Fred finally goes off the deep end when Kitty gets engaged to Charlie and throws a masquerade party to announce the happy event. Disguising himself as a guest, Fred attends the party and promptly murders Charlie. Furious now, Kitty makes a point of inviting her stalker over with plans of killing him, but he doesn't show up. Fortunately, Kitty has resources, and one of the technicians at the television station helps her figure out that Fred is the man who has been harassing her, prompting another invitation and the expected bloody showdown. Vincent Wan co-stars with Ha Ping in this peculiar mixture of erotic thriller and Japanese-style sexualized rape film which has managed a small cult following in America since its DVD release.
