Director Adalberto Albertini's second attempt to cash in on the success of Gianfranco Parolini's I Tre Fantastic Superman, this campy superhero entry was one of several 1970s co-productions between Italy and Hong Kong. Robert Malcolm stars as bungling FBI-agent Robert Wallace, assigned to rescue six of his fellow agents kidnapped during a botched drug sting in Bangkok. Traveling to Hong Kong, Wallace teams up with a thief (Antonio Cantafora) and his mute assistant (Sal Borgese), and the trio don indestructible superhero suits with flowing capes. The Three Supermen, along with a kung-fu expert (Asian action star Lo Lieh) and a beautiful woman (Shih Szu), team up to defeat the drug kingpin in several uninspiring kung-fu battles. The costumes are ridiculous, the music (by Nico Fidenco) is wretched, and many of the clumsy fight scenes appear to have been staged on trampolines beneath camera range. For fans of bad low-camp films only.
