Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein

Productive poverty row director Richard Thorpe helmed this fairly effective silent western about a cowboy (Buddy Roosevelt) tracking down the villain who killed his rich uncle. Lester F. Scott, Jr.'s penny-pinching little Action Pictures released scores of westerns like this in the mid-to-late 1920s, all benefitting from fairly professional casts -- in this case including the smooth but nefarious Robert Walker and the pretty Olive Hasbrouck -- making up for lacklustre leading men such as Buddy Roosevelt. Having learned his trade with outfits such as Action Pictures, director Thorpe later signed with MGM, where he helmed scores of medium-budgeted star vehicles.
