Synopsis by Brian J. Dillard

Following the events of the previous episode (see "Faithless"), Jeff is still on his faux-date with Wilma (Emilia Fox) and trying to figure out how to wiggle out of something that he'd jump at the chance for if he weren't dating Julia (Lou Gish): unconditional sex. Despite the advice Steve (Jack Davenport) and the others are funneling in through his cell phone, Jeff finds himself making a bizarre excuse to Wilma; he tells her that his girlfriend has recently passed away and he isn't ready for new romance. Rather than scaring her off, however, Jeff's explanation only makes her more determined to give the guy some TLC. When Jeff and Wilma end up back at Jeff's place, however, Julia is there -- passed out with the flu on Jeff's bed and looking for all the world like a freshly killed corpse. Suddenly, Jeff's story of a dead girlfriend takes on a different tone for poor Wilma. Originally broadcast October 7, 2002, on BBC2, "Unconditional Sex" marked season three, episode three of the hit Britcom.
