Synopsis by Nathan Southern
The archetypal English soap opera, Coronation Street debuted in the United Kingdom in 1960 and thereafter ran indefinitely - clocking in as a veritable household institution in Great Britain. From season to season, the program follows dramatic events from the lives of a number of working-class Manchester families. Coronation Street: Family Albums, released only to U.S. audiences, looks back over the first 45 years of the series, recapping pivotal events that have befallen three families on the program: The Baldwins, The Duckworths and The Battersbys. This release intercuts clips of the said events and interviews with the actors who performed in those episodes. Participants include: Liz Dawn, Bruce Jones, Johnny Briggs, Julie Goodyear, Jane Danson and many, many others.
