Synopsis by Mark Deming
Collective reality takes a sharp left turn in this offbeat independent drama. Late one night, Paul (Drew Lanning) contacts his close friend Sam (Aaron Ross) and tells him they need to talk. The next morning, Paul tells Sam that he's being followed by alien creatures that look like huge disembodied human eyes. To Paul's surprise, Sam says he's been seeing them too; Sarah (Nancy Stone), a waitress at the coffee shop where Paul and Sam are having breakfast, returns home after her shift and discovers the eye creatures have taken up residence in her apartment. As the three try to figure out what the strange beings are and what they want, they find themselves encountering one another in a series of recurring dreams taking place at a magic show. The first feature from writer and director Jesse Spencer, Corner of Your Eye was shown in competition at the 2004 San Francisco Indie Film Festival.
