Synopsis by Jason Buchanan

An ageing alcoholic falls off the wagon as her children watch in agony in this family drama from first-time writer/director Finola Geraghty. Former dancer Eileen (Jackie Howe) is slinging drinks at a north London cricket club when pot-smoking former athlete Bill (Stephen Taylor) drops in for a drink, and strikes up a conversation. A nice guy with a quick smile, Bill soon begins dating Eileen and does his best to impress her son Jimmy (Felix Malcolm) and daughter Gypsy (Mercedes Grower). Meanwhile, studious Jimmy has plans to attend a massive summer music festival featuring a performance by Gypsy, and headlined by her boyfriend's band. But when Eileen commemorates a romantic breakthrough with a celebratory glass of champagne, her resulting relapse threatens to consumer her body and soul, and destroy her entire family. Before she knows it, Jimmy is gone, and humiliation is her constant companion. Later, as the festival draws near, the troubled mother finds herself at a crucial crossroads that will determine whether or not she will ever find the strength to pull out of her downward spiral.
