Synopsis by Robert Firsching

Wong Siu-ming teamed with Yiu Man-kei to direct this peculiar action-comedy about a dedicated and musclebound Mainland policeman named Hwang Fei (Yu Rongguang) who is sent to Hong Kong. Once there, he is teamed up with a former Scotland Yard inspector, James Fok (Michael Wong), to discipline a ragtag group of officers in the SDU, Hong Kong's version of a SWAT team. Much of the humor concentrates on the men's extremely divergent styles of instruction, the skirmishes between them, and the SDU training. Things get more complicated when Hwang's sister Mona (Christine Ng), who has the peculiar habit of dressing like Marilyn Monroe when she wants to pick up men, develops a crush on James. Eventually the two officers must put aside their differences and reclaim a precious artwork stolen out from under their noses by a group of rather incompetent thieves before the opening of a museum exhibit featuring the painting. Law Kar-ying appears as Tiger, who has a highly improbable fight scene with Hwang, and Yuen King-tan co-stars with Jerry Lam and Manfred Wong.
