Synopsis by Cara Saposnik
An homage to women and their daily work, this video is a lively and humorous look at the relationship that women have with the chore of cleaning the family clothes. Allowing the women's voices to be heard as images of laundry flap in the wind, Roberta Cantow permits her subjects to speak about the anger and pride that they feel in performing a task that goes back for generations. In this documentary, layers of emotions come to the surface as the communality of women's work is exposed.
