A woman is murdered the night she gets engaged and the suspect is her overly obsessed uncle (Wendell Pierce), a recovering alcoholic who was found drunk near the scene of the crime. The defense pleads insanity, but Annabeth feels she has a strong case---until she learns of another crime the man committed that has similar characteristics and demonstrates his instability.
