Synopsis by Jason Buchanan

The harrowing journey of a desperate teenage girl trapped in a self-destructive downward spiral offers an illuminating portrait of the breakdown of the contemporary American family in director Jimmy Lee's tragic coming of age story. Jenny Kim is a sixteen-year-old girl who was raised on the soiled streets of Los Angeles, and when family strife drives her parents to divorce the confused young girl the horrors of the outside world seem to break down the doors of her once-happy home as well. Now, as Jenny struggles against her growing feelings of abandonment and alienation while trapped in a suffocating cultural limbo, her fragile vulnerability leaves her open to temptation and the damaging influences of drugs and hard partying. Though her mother's attempts to break through to Jenny seem to have little effect on the confused teen, her father David proves that he is willing to make every sacrifice necessary to help his troubled daughter turn her life around before it's too late.
