Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein

B-movie action star Charles Delaney played a crusading newspaper editor in this crime melodrama produced by ill-named poverty row company Excellent Pictures. When local Police Captain Clancy (Charles Hickman) is murdered by Foley's gang of bootleggers and Clancy's pretty sister (Betty Blake) ends up a kidnap victim, Delaney takes matters into his own hands. Aided by street urchin Hutch (Lewis Sargent) and the faithful dog Rags, Delaney manages not only to save the life of Susan Clancy, but after a daring chase, he is able to bring Hard Boiled Foley (Bruce Gordon) and his henchmen to justice. His stardom waning with the coming of sound, Charles Delaney nevertheless continued acting in action melodramas well into the television era.
