Synopsis by Elizabeth Smith
Though fans grew restless during the rain-delayed 1962 World Series, victory eventually came to the New York Yankees. Pitcher Ralph Terry became a hero as he struck out many of the San Francisco Giants throughout the series, even though the two teams were playing in the Giants' beloved Candlestick Park. Giants star Willie McCovey played his best but still couldn't generate enough runs to help his team win the pennant.
