Synopsis by Sarah Block
The Florida State Seminoles took the motivation of a bitter 1999 loss to Tennessee into their matchup with Virginia Tech in the 2000 Nokia Sugar Bowl National Championship game. The Hokies, under the leadership of Michael Vick, took an early lead, but the Seminoles charged back after halftime for a 46-29 comeback win. The national title was the Seminoles' second, and was the perfect ending to an undefeated season. This program presents the championship game in its entirety, without commercials, as filmed by ABC Sports.
