Synopsis
Part 2 carries Churchill through "the wilderness years" (1929-39), then through World War II, which would turn out to be his (and Britain's) "finest hour." Churchill was an unconstrained monarchist (he backed Edward VIII) and imperialist (he dismissed Gandhi as a "half-naked fakir"). But, out of office in the early '30s, he visited Germany and became alarmed at the rise of the Nazis. And he wouldn't keep quiet about it. Ian McKellen narrates.
