Synopsis by Jason Buchanan

Filmmaker Bill Laufer tells this inspirational story of a family stricken by tragedy during the holiday season that was inspired by his mother's diagnosis with terminal cancer at the age of sixteen. Life was perfect for Andrew Austin. A successful wine maker whose marriage to his high school sweetheart yielded two wonderful children, Andrew seemed to have everything a man could ever ask for. All of that changed in an instant, however, after Andrew's faithful wife is suddenly and unexpectedly diagnosed with terminal cancer. Now, as the holidays draw near and Andrew's life falls to chaos as his wife falls increasingly ill, the family abandons their plans for a whirlwind Christmas in the city in favor of retreating to their comfortable lake house. It is here that unresolved secrets of the pass will emerge, and the specter of death will cause a family who may have lost sight of their priorities an opportunity to experience the soul-warming glow of love and forgiveness on what could well be their final holiday together.
