Synopsis by Janiss Garza

The plot to this Pokes and Jabbs comedy involves thieves who are stealing chickens from a girls' school. Vim, the company shooting the picture, needed an exceptional number of female extras and advertised in the local newspaper's society section. As a result, the studio was overrun with debs arriving in limos and expensive touring cars! The nouveau riche Hiram Gothrocks wants his daughter (Ethel Burton) to wed Count Chasem so the family can become part of high society. Ethel is in love with Jabbs (Bobby Burns), but no matter -- Gothrocks sends him away. Jabbs' barber friend, Pokes (Walter Stull), suggests that he impersonate the Count. Meanwhile, the real Count and his valet are held up by the chicken thieves, who steal their clothes. As a result, the Count and valet wind up in jail. Back at the Gothrocks home, Pokes and Jabbs -- in disguise -- are in the midst of destroying their surroundings. The chicken thieves, dressed in the Count's finery, show up and are arrested for doing the damage. Finally, Gothrocks discovers that the real Count already has a wife and he allows Ethel and Jabbs to continue their romance.
