Synopsis by Sally Barber

This program profiles two of history's most notorious killers. Delve into the evil minds of Charles Manson and Albert DeSalvo. Manson and his followers were responsible for more than 100 slayings in the 1960s. The video features excerpts from an interview Tom Snyder conducted with Manson in the 1980s, and portions of an in-jail interview with Manson "family" member Leslie Van Houten. The segment on the Boston Strangler examines the violent murders of 13 women between June 14, 1962, and January 4, 1964. While DeSalvo confessed to 11 of the killings, controversy remains about whether he was guilty of all of the crimes. Learn what may have motivated Manson and DeSalvo to brutally claim so many innocent lives.
