Synopsis by Alice Day
In this series of programs, the importance of conservation in the world's seas is emphasized with underwater photography of many inhabitants of the oceans. Students will become more aware of the threats to the well-being of the species of plants and animals, and learn of the nature of these threats. Efforts to restore a balance to the seas include the establishment of marine sanctuaries for the protection of many creatures. Challenge of the Seas, Vol. 4: Island in the Fog explores one such refuge, which provides a safe area for dolphins, whales, and seabirds.
