Synopsis by Jinko Labitag
In the documentary, Yves Saint Laurent: The Last Collections, director Olivier Meyrou goes behind the scenes as Saint Laurent works on his very last collection and show before retiring. With almost three years worth of material, the film is able to paint a picture of the iconic designer without the glitz and glamour conveniently provided by the fashion industry: a fragile and tormented artist trapped in his own world, anxious about his own talents.
