Synopsis by Tracie Cooper
Filmmaker Michael Lucas chronicles the spread of anti-gay sentiment throughout Russia that contributed to the passing of legislation barring "gay propaganda" in 2013. The ban eliminates nearly all forms of public discussion of homosexuality, outlaws Gay Pride events, and criminalized any public display of homosexual behavior. As the Kremlin considers taking even more extreme measures, members of the Russian LGBT community discusses the impact of the anti-gay campaign on their lives.
