Three people residing in Tajikistan , a former Soviet republic nestled in the Pamir mountains, join hundreds of other athletes to play the sport of Buzkashi in the plateaus of the mountainous country. As the game plays out, the rivalries, ideals, egos, and varying ethnicities become a microcosm of the land's political climate.
