Three strangers living in the same Swiss village deal with the loss of loved ones in their own unique ways as the world continues to turn and time keeps on moving. Leachim (Kenneth Huber) is a farmer who has recently lost his father. While Leachim's wife Hanni (Gabriela Brand) already suffers in her abusive household, her husband's hand begins to fall even harder once the grieving intensifies. Meanwhile, tightly-wound medical worker Biela (Sonja Gruentzig) is shattered after losing children in a fatal car accident, and newly single mother Elena (Doro Mueggler) is thrust into a dark world of depression when her latest child arrives stillborn.
