Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Running 15 minutes (approximately one and a half reels), this sports film was a re-creation of a fight staged at London's National Sporting Club on December 2, 1906. The opponents were Tommy Burns, a Canadian, and "Gunner" Moir, an Englishman. Only rounds 1, 3, 6, 8 and 10 of the original fight were re-created for the cameras. Although the two pugilists were merely going through the pre-arranged motions this time, they did not seem to be faking or pulling their punches. The final shot depicted the winner, Gunner Moir, resplendently attired in evening clothes.
