Synopsis by Jack Rodgers
Profiling sculptor and modern artist Chris Burden, perhaps best known for a series of dangerous performance-art pieces in the 1970s (including one in which he had a friend shoot him in the arm with a rifle). His later works also include a model city called "Metropolis II" and a series of restored street lamps called "Urban Light." Directed by Timothy Marrinan and Richard Dewey, Burden made its world premiere at the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival.
