Brian J. Mason walks off with the girl named Sotai while the Knight Sabers watch helplessly. Priss realizes their safety mechanisms still work, and the Knight Sabers abandon their armor. While scouting for an exit, Priss runs right into Leon, who is investigating despite orders. He quickly figures out the situation, and, much to Priss' surprise, offers to help if anyone is hurt. Later, while Nene is checking in on Mackey, Nigel reveals the truth to her: Sylia has an implant in her brain placed by Dr. Stingray,Sotai and Mackey were both creations of Dr. Stingray, using genetic material from Sylia and her mother. Mackey was abandoned as an experiment for being "too human," but Sotai was considered a success -- until she apparently decided to replace humans, killing almost everyone in the lab by taking control of the surrounding machinery. In desperation, Genom triggered an earthquake that buried the lab -- and leveled Tokyo. Elsewhere, Linna and Priss ponder the future of the Knight Sabers when Leon shows up. Intrigued by his seeming sincerity, Priss goes on a motorcycle ride with Leon to discuss the Knight Sabers and the AD Police. Suddenly, Priss, Linna, Nene, and Mackey are bombarded by strange visions of Sotai's creation and Sylia's surgery. (American release in 2000.)
