Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Athletic star William Russell puts on his boxing gloves for this waterfront drama. Bill Brawley (Russell) is a longshoreman for the Kenwick Shipping Company, and a part-time prize fighter. He is admired by his fellow employees, who are relying on him to present their demands for higher wages. But the Kenwicks are a hard and selfish family. Manson (Roy Stewart) and his sister Norma (Lizette Thorne) are anxious to get rid of the business because their society friends look down on it; clearly they don't have their workers' interests in mind. Since they can't sell the company until the labor dispute is settled, they enlist Tim Dirgan (George Ferguson) to discredit Brawley. Brawley, meanwhile, is having no luck getting his agreement signed, even though he has become involved with Norma. When he refuses to compete for the waterfront championship because Norma has asked him not to fight, the men begin to lose faith in him. But Brawley has a plan -- during the Kenwicks' reception with their stockholders, Brawley discovers Dirgan's duplicity. After forcing Manson Kenwick to sign the agreement that gives the workers a better wage, he denounces Norma and all the stockholders, then heads off to the fight. He wins, and reunites with his waterfront sweetheart, Fen Bernham (Charlotte Burton).
