A late silent from small-scale producer Trem Carr, this crime drama stars Comelius Keefe and Arthur Rankin, two actors usually found playing cads. They are orphaned brothers, separated when Tom (Keefe) escapes the authorities and Bob (Rankin) is taken to an asylum. Years later, Tom has drifted into a life of crime, but is spending most of his ill-gotten gains to pay for Bob's college education. The brothers meet again -- but without recognizing each other -- when Tom attempts to involve Bob in a confidence game. When Bob is falsely accused of murder, Tom, who has come to realize Bob's true identity, takes the blame. Happily, a couple of gang members (George Chesebro and Barbara Bedford) are made to confess at the last moment. Released, rather pompously, as an "Imperial Photoplay," this low-budget melodrama should not be confused with a 1930 talkie of the same title starring Bert Lytell in a dual role.
