Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
Filmmaker Katie Dellamaggiore documents a year in the lives of five young chess prodigies from Intermediate School 318, a Title 1 school in Brooklyn that is home to some of the nation's most-promising young strategists. Meanwhile, the chess team that has won 26 national titles faces serious setbacks in the form of a financial crisis that threatens the very future of their school.
