Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Another of the popular Dorothy Phillips vehicles directed by Ida May Park, Broadway Love was based on a magazine story by W. Carey Wonderly. Phillips was cast as Midge O'Hara, a small-town lass who becomes a Broadway chorus girl. Midge's best pal Cherry Blow (Juanita Hansen) invites her to a late-night party at the penthouse owned by Cherry's elderly "sugar daddy" Elmer Watkins (Lon Chaney Sr.). During the festivities, our heroine meets and falls in love with Henry Rockwell (William Stowell), a handsome Arizona millionaire. When the revelries get out of hand, Henry "rescues" Midge, though his intentions prove to be less than honorable. Upon finding out that Midge isn't "that kind of girl," however, Henry is immediately smitten -- and when she is later injured in an auto accident, he foots the hospital bills with no strings attached. Even so, Midge keeps her distance from Henry, certain that all he wants from her is all any man has ever wanted from her. It takes several reels for Midge to realize that Henry's affections are absolutely sincere.
