Synopsis by Eleanor Mannikka

Angela (Anne Bennent) lives in a fantasy-world in which she feels like a kindred spirit of Joan of Arc, and at the same time, expects her lover Robert (Hub Martin) to be as totally devoted to her as she is to him, offering her own ideal love as an example. She also believes in the magic of herbal cures and is seeking for a meaning in all this that transcends ordinary perception. Robert does not share the same fanaticism, in fact, he is playing around with Bettina (Gila Von Weitershausen), a concert cellist who puts him in the position of having to decide between the two women in his life -- never an enviable task, but in this case, maybe not a hard decision. This film won the first Prix Mabuse award in Paris in 1981.
