High school freshman Cory (Ben Savage) is the only male amongst his peers who hasn't got a girlfriend. Older brother Eric (Will Friedle), who fancies himself wiser and more worldly in these matters, advises Cory to adopt a love-'em-and-leave-'em approach and ask out a girl he doesn't even know. As Cory tries to follow this advice with a lovely lass named Wendy (Jessica Wesson), his parents put the kibosh on Eric's romantic escapades after finding an incriminating earring in the boy's bedroom.
