Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
Filmmakers Mike Cahill and Brit Marling tell the stories of four people connected by their cultural heritage yet separated by miles of ocean and decades of political conflict in this documentary tracing the lives of ballerinas and boxers in both Miami, Florida, and Havana, Cuba. Through their triumphs and their failures, the viewer is allowed the opportunity to look past the night life stereotype of Miami and the hopelessly complex relationship between the US and Cuba to understand exactly how someone can chase their dream until their body ultimately gives in.
