Synopsis by Eleanor Mannikka
This on-the-road documentary records the daily existence of long-haul truck drivers in Brazil, supplying ample vistas of the countryside and ribbons of road unspooling just ahead. Conversations reveal that the drivers -- like their colleagues elsewhere -- complain about their demanding work schedule and the lack of appreciation for what they do. As the scenery goes by, bits and pieces of Brazil's history and politics fill in a context for the truckers' lives, and music ranging from the best Brazilian sounds to modern rock liven the proceedings and add another nuance to the trips on the road.
