Synopsis by Mark Deming

A family emergency sends a man on a road trip where anything that can go wrong does in this comedy. Martin ( Felix Theissen) is a tightly-wound German businessman who receives word that his father was killed in a hunting accident during a visit to Romania. While Martin and his father didn't get along, it soon becomes obvious that someone has to go to Romania and pick up the man's remains, and the responsibility has fallen to him. But once Martin's flight lands in Romania, he becomes the victim of one disaster after another: his wallet is stolen at the airport, the used car he buys to get around is a rattletrap, and he can't seem to find the hospital where his dad's body is being held. Needing some help in an unfamiliar land, Martin persuades Imre (Tibor Palffi) and his wife Agi (Kriszta Biro) to act as his guides; however, the couple's marriage is going through a rough patch, and their constant quarreling is even worse than being lost. Drum Bun (aka Bon Voyage) had its North American premiere at San Francisco's 2006 Berlin and Beyond Film Festival.
