Synopsis by Emru Townsend

During an evening with neighbors Trevor and Joyce, Bob and Margaret learn about the joys of a great Canadian pastime: crossing the American border to shop at discount malls and smuggling the goods back into Canada to avoid duties. After watching hard-nosed American television right after some particularly dull Canadian shows, Bob suggests they head to the States to see "brassy Americans in their native habitat," while Margaret can buy a paraffin foot massage for the clinic that's only available in the States. When the pair get hopped up on the free coffee at an American diner, they go on a shopping spree that can only lead to trouble.
