Synopsis by Janiss Garza

This amusing farce stars minor 1920s leading man Jack Connolly. Newlyweds Tom and Nan Beech (Connolly and Mary Anderson respectively) have trouble settling into their tiny new apartment, and once they have, they get into an argument that sends Nan storming out. Almost as soon as she is gone, Tom gets word that his uncle will give him 50 thousand dollars if he can prove he is a happily married, successful businessman. As a result, the young, struggling husband is forced to come up with a nice home and a wife on very short notice. He manages to find a nice house, and has another woman pose as his wife for the uncle's lawyer (George Hernandez), who arrives to scrutinize Tom's situation. Everything seems to be working out smoothly -- until Nan shows up with a girlfriend. The lawyer becomes thoroughly confused, first believing that Tom is a bigamist, then thinking that he is killing off the young women one by one. Eventually everything is cleared up, Nan and Tom are reunited, and they get a very nice start in life.
