Synopsis by Cavett Binion

Andy Milligan -- Staten Island's answer to Herschel Gordon Lewis -- just can't seem to shake period settings for his bargain-basement horror projects... so we're forced to contend with Blood, set in 1930's New York (or an unreasonable facsimile thereof). The hackneyed plot involves one Dr. Orlovski, who is afflicted with lycanthropy, and who maintains a garden filled with man-eating plants and settles down to play house with the daughter of Dracula. As if this weren't trying enough for their neighbors, there are also hordes of rabid bats swarming the city, turning the locals into blood-drooling cannibals with severe complexion problems. If this sounds just weird enough to be entertaining, think again... this represents Milligan at his absolute worst, which is saying quite a bit.
