Synopsis by Janiss Garza

When the fiancée of Margaret Walsh (Virginia Pearson) dies during a Polar expedition, she agrees to marry Morgan Delafield (Frank Burbeck), the much older business partner of her father (Lew Stern). Years later, Margaret falls in love with Stephen Bond (Wilmuth Merkyl), a man much younger than she is. Out of respect for her husband, however, she renounces the romance. This doesn't stop villainous explorer Russell Berridan (Frank Goldsmith) from spreading rumors about her. Delafield defends his wife, and both he and Berridan are killed in the ensuing shoot-out. Margaret gets to marry Bond, but she does not live happily ever after. About ten years later, she finds her husband falling in love with his pretty young cousin, Jeanne Clark (Louise Huff). Margaret realizes that her charms have faded with age, so she kills herself and leaves Bond to be with Jeanne. This was Virginia Pearson's first film for the Fox studios. She would eventually become the company's second-string vamp, under Theda Bara.
