Synopsis by Mark Deming

In this low-budget action drama, Jason (Own Wat-Son), Adam (Warhawk Tanzania), Eric (Malachi Lee) and Billy (Judie Soriano) are four gifted African-American martial artists who comprise Force: IV, a private investigation team who can solve mysteries and find missing valuables for the right price. Force: IV get the call when a rare piece of African art is stolen, and the owner wants it promptly returned. After hitting the streets of New York and asking neighborhood folks for clues, they learn that the statue is in the possession of Z (Sam Schwartz), a corpulent criminal mastermind who has found a buyer for the artifact. Force: IV formulate a plan to intercept the sale, but a question keeps nagging them -- what is it about this item that makes it so valuable to so many people? Most of the cast of Force: IV were trained martial artists, ranked black belt or higher, including the four leads and female gangster Felicia, played by Sydney Filson. The film was also released as Force Four and appeared on video as Black Force.
