Synopsis by Perry Seibert

This documentary examines a little-known, but deeply influential, incident in the history of Michigan football. In 1934 the Wolverines scheduled Georgia Tech, but in order to get the visiting team to play the game Michigan had to agree to sit their only African-American player. This decision outraged teammate Gerald Ford, as well as the Ann Arbor community overall. The vocal protests led to major changes in race relations on campus that would reverberate for years to come.
