Synopsis by Jason Buchanan

Innovative musicians Francis Dreyfus and Christian Pegand join forces with Jazz A Vienne and Bataille Productions to bring their unique brand of jazz to the stage in a rousing 1981 performance that captures the band at their creative peak. In the "Gypsy Project," guitarist Biréli Lagrène joins violinist Florin Niculescu, guitarists Hono Winterstein and Thomas Dutronic, and bass Diego Imbert for thirteen songs including "Coquette", "Djangology", and "Sweet Georgia Brown". A second performance that finds the core group joined by a variety of additional performers including accordion-player Richard Galliano finds the band continuing on with eighteen more songs including "My One and Only Love", "There Will Never Be Another You", and "Swing Gitan".
